I lie awake, the shadows on the ceiling growing longer. The assertive clock dominates the soundscape with its loudly thudding heartbeat. And the gears in my head clang into motion.
What to write? Perhaps a piece titled ‘When Boot Meets Face: A Love Story’. Sarcasm laces a half smile, no more, no less.
